Skoda India introduces Fabia Scout

skoda fabia scout

Skoda has chosen a soft launch for the Fabia Scout, quietly introducing this model into the Indian market. The Fabia Scout is based on the Fabia hatchback, but is distinguishable by the addition of body cladding, roof rails and a spoiler.

The interiors of the Fabia Scout get leather trim on the steering wheel and gear lever, along with steel pedals for that sporty touch. Skoda is offering the Fabia Scout in both petrol and diesel versions, powered by the familiar 75 PS 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. The Fabia Scout is not available with the 1.6 MPI petrol engine.

Ex-showroom Delhi prices for the Fabia Scout are:
1.2 MPI – Rs 6,79,566
1.2 TDI – Rs 8,10,909

At these prices the Fabia Scout isn’t cheap, but Skoda is offering this model in a single trim level, fully loaded with all goodies, including a stereo, dual airbags, tinted windows and alloy wheels.

Skoda sells the Fabia Scout as an estate version in some markets in Europe, but the company has chosen to stick with a hatchback body style for India. The estate version of the erstwhile Octavia was a slow seller in the Indian market.
