The benchmark for
executive luxury sedans has just moved ahead, with the entry of the
latest BMW 5-Series in India. Pricing is cut throat, starting from Rs
38.9 lakh to Rs 45.9 lakh
BMW India has
just brought in the latest generation 2010 BMW 5-Series sedan on board.
The sixth generation of BMW’s executive luxury sedan range was recently
launched internationally, and the marque from Munich has been quick
enough to bring it to India, which is fast developing as a key market
for the company.
BMW India has kept the pricing very competitive for the new car,
starting at Rs 38.9 lakh for the petrol powered 523i. The diesel engined
525d will go for Rs 39.9 lakh, while the 530d variant with the larger
diesel powerplant will go for Rs 45.9 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom
across India.
With more toned down and elegant styling, the new Beemer has added
tons of technology under its skin to make it more comfortable, with
cleaner emissions and curtailed fuel consumption without losing any of
its performance edge. If anything, the latest model will widen the base
of loyalists for the 5-series. Catch the complete package on the new
car, including a blistering first drive from the Estoril race circuit in
