Skoda Laura 2.0 TDI L&K

All good things come to an end, and so has my stint with the Skoda Laura 2.0 TDI. Over these eight months the car has been a delight and I have really enjoyed the free spirited driving that the Laura offers; its smooth power delivery, the smooth six speed DSG gearbox and of course the handling dynamics are all right up there. This is truly one of the best driver's cars out there in the market. After clocking over 16, 650 kilometers on the odometer and getting a healthy 11 km per liter average fuel consumption, its important to note that the Laura has been rather easy on the pocket.

During the period of ownership the Skoda proved its mettle time and time again. Be it on the few weekend trips out of town to the run of the mill city dashes, the Laura felt equally at home in the city as well as on the highway. It's played a vital role in family functions, especially the carnivorous boot that can almost swallow a truck load of goods!  Finding negative points with the car is difficult, leaving aside the cramped rear seats that is a bit of a let down. Apart from that it is difficult to find fault with this car. The Laura is a car that you can easily fall in love with, and there is no doubting that it will be missed.
