Mitsubishi Lancer comes in diesel and petrol variants. 1.5 L Petrol LX variant comes with a 1468 cc inline SOHC 12 valve MPI Petrol engine which churns out a maximum power of 87 Ps at 5500 rpm and a peak torque of 13.5 Kgm at 3300 rpm while the 2.0 Diesel LX variant comes with a 1998cc inline SOHC 8 Valve IDI diesel engine which delivers an output of 68 Ps at 4500 rpm and a peak torque of 12.5 Kgm at 3000 rpm. The car thus has great fuel efficiency and fewer vibrations due to the silent shaft technology.
