Mercedes-Benz E-Class Review

Mercedes-Benz E-Class has a very interesting history, as much as it is a very interesting car that any car enthusiast would love to have in the luxury car segment. It was called such because before, it used to be called as the “Einspritzmotor”, the German term for a car using a fuel injection engine. However, at a later time when almost all cars manufactured by Mercedes-Benz used fuel injection, it was named Mercedes-Benz E-Class instead. This car has a long history to judge, being produced first in 1947. And to date, it is one of the most preferred Mercedes-Benz cars in India.

Engine

Most Mercedes-Benz E-Class use the V6 Engine. Generally, though, it offers five kinds of engine. Three of which are petrol and two other are diesel types. Mercedes-Benz E-Class is also one of the few cars which were able to use BlueEfficiency in its engine. This assures the powerful drive of engines which can run at 135 hp. The latest version of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has also mastered an advanced engine wherein there is a four valve technology which can be very eco-friendly. This version, which is the E350, is also powered with the 7G – TRONIC, a seven – speed automatic transmission which activates smooth movement of the rear wheels.

Built and Styling

Mercedes-Benz E-Class has an authentic design that is actually inspired by its earlier versions. The shape of the car has retained its angular body and it appears to be aggressive, it is not the typical smooth and soft version since the Mercedes-Benz E-Class exudes sturdy and strong features in the road. Mercedes-Benz E-Class also has a trademark design which identifies it through the years. It has a twin head lamps shaped like an oval in its front. The built of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class also boasts of its remarkable aerodynamics which minimizes unnecessary engine noise as well as its fuel consumption.

Safety

Just like any other Mercedes-Benz which boasts of their unparalleled safety precaution measures as compared to any other car in the world, Mercedes-Benz E-Class is equipped with state-of-the-art security devices that secure its riders. It has an Adaptive High-Beam Assist which helps foresee incoming cars so that it can automatically adjust the lighting to avoid accidents. As for the security of the car, it has a keyless entry which only makes use of remote controls. It also has an Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and a Sensotronic Brake Control (SBS) among others.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class has six variants in India. These are the E250, the E250 CDI BlueEfficiency, the E350, the E350 CDI BlueEfficiency, the 280 Elegance, and the 280 CDI Elegance. Mercedes-Benz E-Class comes in many colors. It can be Periclase Green, Obsidian Black, Tenorite Grey, Sanidine Beige, Iridium Silver, and many more.
