Adding another feather to its cap after Scorpio, Mahindra
has launched XUV500 a premium sports utility vehicle. The Mahindra
XUV500 is aimed to be a global SUV, targeting the European, Latin
American along with the Indian market.
Mahindra XUV500 has a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that stirs up 140 bhp of horsepower, 330 Nm of torque and has been crossed with a 6-speed manual transmission. The car has the capacity to accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in approximately 5 seconds. The power machine Mahindra XUV500 claims a fuel economy of up to 15 kmpl.
While offering a rugged and all terrain vehicles, Mahindra XUV500 does not skimp on luxury. It gives a 6-inch touch screen entertainment system that comprises of FM radio, CD player with MP3 compatibility, USB and iPod connectivity. Global positioning system is also an added facility and it also offers ABS and Airbags in all models. The car is available in seven titillating colors and in 4*4 and 4*2 models.
The oomph factor is enhanced with various accessories like LED lamps, twin exhaust, fully automated climate control etc. Mahindra XUV500 is the primary vehicle from its makers to feature a monocoque construction keeping in mind the global market.
