Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) has announced the prices of the all-new Sonata. The new Hyundai Sonata, powered by a 2.4-litre GDi petrol engine, is priced at Rs 18.53 lac for the manual and Rs 20.61 for the automatic transmission version.
For the price though, customers are treated to a the full premium-car experience. The new Sonata is equipped with all the bells and whistles that this class of buyer expects, including dual-zone climate control, power-adjustable front seats, heated seats, bi-xenon headlamps and paddle shifter for the automatic version.
Both the automatic and manual versions of the new Hyundai Sonata have six gear ratios. The new Sonata is only available with a petrol engine for the time being, with the diesel variant expected to be launched by the end of 2012 or early in 2013.
Meanwhile, the previous generation Sonata Transform will continue to be sold. The diesel version of the Sonata Transform still enjoys some popularity, and Hyundai officials say they are no plans to pull this model from the market just yet. However, don’t be surprised to find some good dealer discounts on the older Sonata.
The new Hyundai Sonata is available in four colours only: black, white, silver, and something HMIL calls ‘mushroom’, which we imagine would be some sort of greyish-beige.
