BMW India
has started with a Driver Training programme for its customers and
prospects. The programme will have specially trained instructors taking
the customers through the different driving techniques ranging from the
basic ones like correct seating position, appropriate steering
techniques, steering wheel posture to the more complex ones like
emergency braking, induced oversteer/understeer and avoidance
manoeuvres. Through this programme the Bavarian manufacturer aims to
make its customers get better control over their machines and at the
same time react in a composed manner to unexpected driving situations.
Dr. Andreas Schaaf, president of BMW Group India said, “BMW Driver Training is a signature training programme to improve the driving skills, handling, reaction time and awareness of BMW customers. The aim was and remains, to provide an opportunity to know the capabilities of a BMW better and experience the superior BMW technology. The BMW Driver Training programme is designed to help customers to overcome potential hazards in day-to-day driving.”
