Skoda India Forays Into SUV Segment With Skoda Yeti

Skoda Auto Launched the Skoda Yeti Design at Geneva International Motor Show in 2005. This is Skoda's Foray into the SUV segment which was quite new to Skoda Auto. The size of the Skoda Yeti fits between the AO and A segments, keeping the Skoda Yeti on the border between different classes.

The Skoda Yeti bears features of future Skoda vehicles which were previously indicated by the Skoda Roomster concept. The distinct features of Skoda Yeti include wrap-around windscreen, coated windscreen side pillar, and characteristic roof covering.

Skoda Yeti is equipped with turbo charged and frugal engines. The Skoda Yeti has two petrol and three diesel engines on offer. Equipped with front wheel drive, a petrol engine with four cylinders and 1.2 liter capacity; the Skoda Yeti delivers 77 kW. The power-providing turbo charger (105 PS) enhances its performance. Skoda Yeti also promises efficient fuel economy.

The exterior of the 4.2 m long, five door SUV, has an impressive front end with a ribbed grille and amiable headlamps. The sturdy flanks and distinct wings give Skoda Yeti a robust look on the 17 inch wheels. Despite this, Skoda Yeti, doesn't have a bulky appearance.
