Honda Jazz has been fitted with a 1.2L i-VTEC (Intelligent Variable Valve Timing and Electronic Lift Control) powerplant which is Euro IV ready. Honda claims a mileage of 16.1kmpl and the engine will be compatible with up to 10% ethanol in its mixture of petrol. The i-VTEC engine uses Honda’s variable valve timing system that regulates the opening and closing of air-fuel intake and exhaust valves to match the engine speed.
Honda will launch the Jazz in only one variant, the Jazz S. Honda might launch a more feature rich variant later and call it the Jazz V. Honda is also expected to release a variant of the Jazz with the City’s 1.5 litre power plant in the future.
