Renault India has launched a new variant of its diesel Fluence, the E4D, which comes with a small power increment. It is priced at Rs 15.20 lakh, ex-Delhi.
The new 1.5 dCi K9K engine under the hood of the Fluence E4D produces 110PS of power and 240Nm of torque. The new variable geometric turbo gets a simplified air intake system which allows it to perform far more efficiently. The turbo is also a low inertia one allowing for better responses in traffic. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The new Fluence diesel has an ARAI claimed fuel efficiency of 20.4kmpl.
The Fluence E4D comes equipped with ABS, EBD, brake assist, ASR and also ESP along with four airbags. Other features include rain and light sensors, 4-speaker music system with USB, AUX and Bluetooth connectivity, engine stop/start button, cruise control and rear parking sensors.
The Fluence will be manufactured in Renault’s manufacturing facility at Oragadam in Chennai.
