800 Engine

Maruti 800 is powered by 796 cc MPFI 32 bit ECM engine that consists of two valves per cylinder. Petrol is used as the few though in the later models of the same engine is designed to run over LPG and others. There are 4 to 5 speed transmissions in the standard Maruti 800. The engine model is water cooled SOHC (IC2V). The capacity of the fuel tank is about 28 liters and the car can accelerate to the 60 in a minute from the start. Rack and pinion is the steering type with the least turning radius of about 4.4 meter. The interiors are simple and provide a comfortable ride. If we talk about the safety, then you will not find any additional safety feature equipped in it. This car has got 5 door hatchbacks as the body style. On highways, Maruti 800 gives the mileages of 18.7 km/L and in cities it is quiet less up to 13.1 km/L
